Collected new MY13 GS this morning

well here we are again, collected new FR2 this morning & all its done is P Censored s with rain !

Cars great, manual ok, all a bit tight as only had 7 miles on the clock , just done 42 miles & MPg went up to an average of 43mpg so that could be a big improvement on the manual.

Lots of changes on the MY13 GS so glad I ordered with loads of extras so only time will tell now how it behaves .

Glad to see the back of my old one.

how do peeps with EPB get on with hill starts when towing ? do you just start to pull away & allow the auto release tro work ? seems bit harsh, my EPB on my Passat was brilliant but the EPB was auto & worked perfectly.

I will add a picture when the rain goes away as the colour is great. Very Happy

If the EPB is like mine, you never have to release, just press the warble pedal and it releases Thumbs Up p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

The loan car I recently had was a manual equipped with EPB, after having struggled like mad on the forecourt for five minutes trying to work out, how the hell, to get it to release all was well after that. I wasn't pressing the brake to allow it to release.
The rest of the time I found the auto hold and even the Eco stop/ start system quite easy to use. This was with a VW Pashat and the LR system I imagine will be similar, definitely a move forward and away from the stupid handbrake.

Censored Censored
It was when I saw the words " press foot brake" on the display that I managed to move off Laughing
First junction I came to, I thought it had stalled, it didn't like my intervention in getting it to restart either.

Hmmm, itchy feet here too, all this technology I am missing out on, looking forward to OG's thoughts on the new one.

Hmm - EPB and stop/start is technology I'll quite happily miss out on, thank you! Particularly when you factor in the downsides on upgrading - like the DPF and the price hikes for lower-spec cars! I think I'll be keeping mine for a few more years yet, but then with only 28K still on the clock it's only just run in!

Mines on 58000 in two years, feels like years with that mileage Laughing

Never had two of the same but would certainly change to another Freelander, probably a very high spec one or a Dynamic specked up

Colour is great but much better in the sun when it sparkles
