Head rest screens -to-do-or-not-to-do

Hi all,

Bought new a while back the head rest screen fitting kit (LR 004184) in ebony black leather which cost a fair bit to buy at the time.

Never fitted it and the whole kit was left in packaging, now in two minds about fitting it rather than let it sit boxed in the garage.

So the questions are:

Is it worthwhile fitting it to play games and DVD's etc as kids seem now to be glued to ipads and iphones, mine are anyway.

Is it easy to fit, if a worthwhile accessory, about how long, and how difficult to do it?

If I decide not to fit it how much is it realistically worth on say ebay if I sold it.

Regards Thumbs Up

The problem with the headrest screens is you have to keep getting in the back to see whats going on. Wink

I used a FL2 kit stripped down and rebuilt into my D3 headrests, whole job took about 5/6 hours including the trim work, wiring a DVD changer in the boot and adding a GVIF unit so i can also play on the satnav screen, very worthwhile job.

A couple of months ago someone was offering full kits on the bay for £160 plus delivery so I have a spare kit in Alpaca if anyone needs one! Paul Redding

I also have a kit which I intend to install but I have a problem regarding the main unit.
I have a carputer, not a dvd player, which is already connected to the main display in the dash. I would like to connect the headrests to the carputer, but this has only dvi out and not rca composite, like the monitors.
I didn't manage to find yet a solution (except fitting a dvi to rca adapter which also need power and so on).
Any help would be appreciated Bow down
