Missing bolt on top of casing bottom right of engine

On my SD4 auto there appears to be a bolt missing on the casing (gearbox?) to the bottom right of the engine. The hole is threaded but I cannot see if it goes all the way through the top of the casing. As the car is only 2 months old I went back to dealer who said it is where an accessory is bolted and it should be like that. I would have expected a blanking plate or plastic cap to be fitted. Any views?

Can you take a picture and post?, as a initial guess if you can easily see it your talking about the top of the gearbox under the air filter, by the gearshifter cable if so this is where the rotary gearshifter bracket bolts for the Auto evoque models there should be 1 m10 hole and 2 m8
Hope this helps (but without pictures I can't be sure)

Sometimes the bare holes are for when they are building or repairing the gearbox so it can be mounted in a jig, doesnt necessarily mean it should normally have a bolt or screw in it.

Don't worry we've all got one. Have a look in the foot well down by the pedals just left of the steering column and you will see a bolt sticking through without a nut on it! I suppose that evens it up.

Nothing to worry about, its obvious its never had a bolt in it, it just there for different options or a lifting lug maybe,
Theres nothing to stop you putting your own bolt in it if its getting on your nerves that much though?

Thank you for your answers, it just looked a bit odd and wanted to make sure water did not pour into something when I go through a ford.
