Headlight bulb upgrade? + fog lights...

Anyone done it? Which way for the best results? Night-breakers or HID kit? 2012 SD4 S

I change my dip bulbs to night breaker +, I can't believe the difference! So much brighter for about eleven quid on amazon. Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.

Just fitted a set of Nightbreaker+'s to my 2013MY; massive difference from the original bulbs & highly recommended.

It makes you wonder why LR don't fit them as standard? Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.

Doesn't it just...!

The 2013 DRLs are helpful, but the OEM main beams are really pretty useless compared to aftermarket options.

Would imagine at volume the cost difference would be trivial, so it really does make you wonder why LR opt to save a few pennies & fit poor bulbs as standard....!? Question

I was torn between nightbreakers and Ring Xenon Ultima but went for the ultima just to try them. Not fitted yet, going to do it at the weekend so i'll let you know what they are like...

After reading all of these positive nightbreaker reviews i think I might have made the wrong choice Sad

The Ring Ultimas are brilliant - had a set on my 2010MY FL2. They deliver a bright white-style light, and the difference in the dark is nothing short of staggering!

Only went for the Night Breakers this time as I couldn't find the Ring Ultimas in the right bulb fitting for the 2013MY headlights....

UPDATE:

I took the Night-breaker plunge and invested in a set of H7 and H11 each.

Although a marginal improvement with the H11's fitted, I believe the "projector" type dip beam fittings on my Dec 2012 S is a step backwards.

High beam NB's is plenty better than stock... Thumbs Up

Thank you for the replies! 2012 SD4 S
