Mine already looks like that Whistle it's a Black car.
Doesn't look right to me otherwise Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

I agree with Pegleg. It would be great if it was a shiny gloss black. I'm looking forward to seeing your FL2 when you have finished the facelift. Thumbs Up

IMHO it looks like a total mismatch to the point it looks like 2 separate pieces stuck together and think once on your car will stand out for the wrong reasons.

Only my thoughts thought. Smile

I completely agree defenderben just got home and had another look at the bumper --- don't look right on this color combination
Defo gonna go with silver on silver (silver grill - silver surround)

Doing it black before it went to paint had to be done - just to see what it looked like

My wife has a MY2013 XS in Indus Sliver - that has a black (metallic) grill surround as standard on this model and IMHO it looks good Cool

It will look bloody awful with a silver grill surround.

Either do it body colour and leave in black. The black you have done looks good.

But as you have now painted over the original mat grey finish, Stornaway grey with silver bars will look good. But just don't do the whole thing silver, it will look crap. I have a feeling Mav your not to keen with silver on silver

Like i stated above im gonna dry fit my bumper this weekend or next so ill see what the black looks like before i decide..

I just cant make my mind up at the Moment im back and forth with color choices its driving me crrrrrrrrrrrazy Laughing

The original mat grey surround needed painting anyway - that's why i ain't to bothered about experimenting with it

Cant quite make yours out in the photos Mav, did you do yours body colour ????

Mine is the original mat grey. But I think it would look good in body colour with the silver grill bars. But the black looks very good. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

good effort but not to my liking personally, i do have to wonder why grey car owners are always fiddling and altering them, in an attempt to make them less dull? At work
