foot well fuses blackvue power save

I have fitted my blackvue power save device today can some in the know check my thoughts Embarassed

I required a perm live and a switched live and a ground

In the footwell fuse board using a piggy back jumper I have used fuses

F1 switched + (I think that's intermittent wipers)
F19 perm live + (electric seat adjustments as these work without keys in)
Screw with black wires on metal for ground wire

I assume F1 will be switched as its wipers

I required a fuse to be less than 10amp as that is what the piggy back adapters are rated too and the ones I chose were 5amps each (leaving the 5amp in and adding the 2amp piggy fuse ), with a 2 amp fuse going to the blackvue

I have set my powersave to 11.8v as when set at 12v it powered down straight away Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Ok after a bit of searching on here, i think F19 was on a power save rely on the car do will have switched off also in time

I have opted for F5 switched live (as others have suggested this) & F17 perm live Question (interior lighting)

I hope this is right now, the blackvue had powered down as it started powering up when I unlocked the car, but I dont know now if this was due to the car cutting F19 or low power in the battery Big Cry

Why do they make things so hard Evil or Very Mad Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

F17 and F19 are both on a power saver relay, permanent lives can be taken from F21, F27 or F28.

Ffs Laughing

I'll have to check the fuses in them you have listed as they might be higher Than the 10amp the piggy backs are rated for Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

No, they are all 5 amp. I wouldn't have mentioned them otherwise after our previous talk Rolling Eyes

It had powered down so swapped to F27 which also has a 5amp fuse in

So that's definatly right F5 switched and F27 Live all the time, so if it turns off again it's due to the battery needing topping up above 11.8v Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I think you will have noticed any hiccup by now, I'd be interested to see some footage when you get chance.

had to grab this off the memory card it uses as the Blackvue viewer for Mac doesn't allow it, like the PC version does Rolling Eyes

The uploaded to you tube, nothing interesting mind you, and as you'll see i think the placement could have been better, as i have some objects in view

Good definition and rock steady Thumbs Up you were also driving west and the sun peeking through didn't upset the exposure either.
