To those who have just clayed the car, would highly recommend getting hold of some Gtechniq C2V3 - it's a spray-on sealant which gives you a fantastically glossy finish with next to no effort... spray, wipe around with a microfibre cloth, buff straight off. Can probably coat a car from start to finish in about 15 minutes.

The car was coated with a couple of layers of C2V3 a week ago, driven daily & quickly pressure washed yesterday (no shampoo, no snow foam, no buckets, QD etc. etc.). Done about 50 miles all in today before this photo...

You get brilliantly slick paintwork to which nothing seems to stick and the beading just has to be seen to be believed.
(there's a Youtube video featuring a BMW that's possibly worth a look... )

Thumbs Up Don't get too hung up on the detail (no pun intended!!) - just get a couple of buckets, some decent car shampoo, a good wash mitt & drying towels along with plenty of microfibre cloths and give it a go Smile

Also well worth having a read of this over on Detailing World: http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=4637

Thanks for the tip Thumbs Up

Don't forget also wax or sealant. Polish alone still leaves the paint unprotected Thumbs Up Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

Sounds like a good idea! Smile But I would rather pay some Eastern Europeans to clean my windows for me. I just washed SWIMBOs A3 and I was quite impressed. I will get better. Thumbs Up

I tend to clay the car's glass before applying a sealant, but must admit have never tried the house windows...
May just have to give it a try Smile

Wow I'm stunned, that stuff is better than pretty much every household cleaner on the market. I'll have to buy some. Joanne

I'd be terrified of claying floor tiles, I know how glassy smooth it makes stuff. Would be sliding all over the place!
