battery disconected

As some of you may know I'm having problems with my key fobs (will open, won't open)
I'm taking it back Saturday and been looking on the net to get a bit of knowledge on it so I can understand if he's gonna try and feed me a load of rubbish Rolling Eyes

The dealer said it was fine when they had it, (well they would wouldn't they)
The day before I picked it up that fitted a new back wiper motor would this inter fear with the key fob programing if they disconnect the battery to do the job....

But putting all this aside apart from the problems I'm having with my fobs its a lovely car .. BETTER looking half of the famous Twinlanders

I changed the battery on my car the other day so everything was disconnected for 30 mins or so, and I had no problems with my keys afterwards.

If the battery has been disconnected, you will probably find that your key

Your keys shouldn't need reprogramming just because the battery has been disconnected. I changed the battery completely and the only things that needed any work was the windows. Disconnecting and reconnecting the battery is a common recommendation for a wide range of faults and wouldn't be so if you had to get your car to a dealer afterwards to get the keys reprogrammed.

If your keys needed re-programming you wouldn't be able to get your car back to the dealers. Wink

As "Bossbob" said disconnecting the battery has no effect. My battery was removed from mine for 6 weeks plus and it did not effect them. The windows need a relearn and I found I could get all windows onto one touch which was handy Wink
The fob internal battery which is recharged when in the vehicle, so I understand may be low causing issues. Is it both keys you are having problems with or just one?

Yeah Ben both key fobs
Taking it in in the morning, let's wait and see what happens Question

Took it to a LR dealer yesterday to have em check it over seeing as the place I bought it from gave me a 3 month warranty
Was told by them it was a really nice freely, with just 2 small things to mention to my dealer
1 was the N/S disc was a bit worn and & the second was the boot had a tiny bit of water laying under the spare wheel Rolling Eyes

Not to sure if the disc will be covered in the warranty- but I'm sure the water in the boot will BETTER looking half of the famous Twinlanders
