I thought the O/P was a F1 comment |

But the trouble with that is that it creates a whole new post in that thread and clogs up the forum. I would like to have just clicked a 'Thanks' button in the OP's post. Then, instead of one post followed by five more posts with just a Evoque SD4 Dynamic Lux Auto Present: Audi A3 S Line. |

But the post been thanked ends up with half a page of thanks been listed below it to scroll past to get to the next comment

I think it saves space. A lot of space if done properly. Look at the space saved in this thread on another forum that I go on - thanks from 10 members doesn't take up one line! Now, imagine 10 posts giving the thumbs up with members profile, signatures etc.. http://www.turbosport.co.uk/showthread.php?t=141062

Perhaps I misunderstood too. I would expect the thanks button to be used mainly when someone posts up a 'how to' or gives advice that helps a fellow member, as in the example link I posted. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

If your bothered about people quoting / replying due to database issues this should help as its a flag.... just a thought. T PS I'm up for it as well.... Terran

The "Thank You" button......hmmm, not sure it has any real use, if someone offers advice it is not a problem for someone to say thanks, if many people do it then it may become a sticky.
