2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Zermatt Silver
sat nav radio issue

I've removed sat nav that come with my FL2 and replaced with a tomtom start 60. the install went ok, but now the radio does not work.

I got three plugs that plug into the old screen.
One is blue...radio doesn't go off if removed..this seems to control the touch screen..not plugged in touch screen doesn't work...

one is the main power, white plug with red and black wires..radio goes off if removed.

the third has like a flashing red light inside if that plugs into the old screen.... as soon as this comes out of the socket the red light inside it starts to flash and the radio goes off.... security measure ???? fiberoptic comms bus ???

anyone ever had this ???

I believe the sat is integrated in the "infotainment" system. It's all or none I understand. For instance, when the low fuel light is on, the sat shows the filling stations! 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

Hi Revoltz,

I have the alpine system on my FL2 HSE 2011 and would to remove the oem SAT nav to retro a tablet. I see you have removed yours too , how did you manage to keep everything working when the OEM sat was out? I want to prepare for the android tablet install.

Thank you . FOREVER LEARNING
