United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Zermatt Silver

Hi James & the rest of the freel2 crew that are going to the LRE day on Thursday.
Hope you guys have a great day, i'm sure you will as myself & Mrs Chillin have just done our LRE day at the Honinton centre in devon today and what a great time we had, you guys are gonna love it.

What very clever and capable cars off road we all drive, it really opened my eyes as to
what they can do.

Sorry can't join you all this time as was originally second on the list, maybe next time.
I hope you all have a great time and the event is a success and big thanks once again to James for all your hard work in making it happen.

Cheers JustChillin Thumbs Up

Enjoy yourselves tomorrow everyone. Lots of photos and stories of daring do please!

Be patient on the M1, it is not the best road heading down past old Murky Keynes and you are liable to get some stop start. For those heading from the south, M25 - well need I say more. Make sure you don't get a ticket for over two hours stationary.

Just hope the weather holds up.

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who attended today. There were 45 forum members and guests in total that attended, and it was great chatting to those of you that I managed to get to.

As mentioned HGG are happy to arrange similar events (doesn't necessarily have to be off road), and I feel that the majority enjoyed the day. I put the LRE team under some pressure to try to get everyone behind the wheel of each of the 6 models in the range. Despite being warned that it would be tight, they did pretty much managed to pull it off. There were a couple of people that missed driving the Range Rover in the morning, but were offered a separate drive over lunch. In the afternoon they reduced the availability of the Freelander (as a photo car) which I hope resulted in everyone driving the remaining 5 models. Perhaps all 6 models in half a day was ambitious, however as mentioned the day was totally bespoke and was a trial for the future.

We put our Group F&I Manager Martin to good use by sending him out with his camera for both sessions (you may have seen him stalking through the undergrowth Whistle ) and Pegleg from Freel2 was out for most of the afternoon taking snaps (having driven all the way from mid-Wales Shocked )! So, hopefully there will be plenty of pictures posted over the next few days which I will try to spread across the 6 forums (unless Martin can assist?).

Thank you again to all who attended, and as mentioned please let me know if you feel it was worthwhile and something that we should do again (in some form or another)?

James Thumbs Up

PS For those of you who went away with an HGG bear, please remember to look after them as they are very special creatures, and please make sure you post some pictures of them in their new Land Rover family surroundings! Very Happy

Agree with ad123344556. A good well organised day and thanks to James and the rest of the team for bringing together all sections of Martin's forums. More of it Thumbs Up

All my shots are in raw format and once processed over the next couple of days, I will send them onto James.

A big thank you to James, Hadley Green LR and everyone at LRE Luton. All my instructors were great & very informative and I learnt a lot. Exclamation It was great that we got to drive such a wide variety of the marque. I may not have won anything in the raffle but being the only one in my car meant I got to drive some double stints = Win! Very Happy Very Happy

As to which I preferred? I loved the raw involvement of the Defender, getting into the Range Rover after that was a total contrast - if Bentley made an off-roader I imagine that is what it would be like! Cool. Loved the Discovery as well and had great fun in the RR Sport - I think that may have been my favourite because it was the last of the afternoon and I got to play in that one the longest. Very Happy

Anyway, thanks again to everyone, I think it was a really successful event. I'm really looking forward to seeing the pictures now! 2020 Defender D200 110S Pangea Green

Many thanks to Pegleg (Greg) from Freel2 and also Martin from HGG for taking photographs on the day.

So as not to upset Martin (forum Martin as opposed to HGG Martin) by using up all of his virtual realestate, I have selected a few from both Greg and Martin.

Many thanks for all your efforts.
