I've had a search and there are a few posts about this. Some people have the beep and some do not.

A few months ago my FL had an ECU software update to fix a judder/loss of power problem around 2k RPM. Last winter I had the ice warning beep. Now we've got some colder weather I've noticed that after the software update I don't get the audible ice warning!

Anyone know how to enable/disable this?

I don't believe there's any way on the car itself to enable/disable the ice warning - as far as I'm aware it should always be operational. It may be possible using the dealer's diagnostic terminal, I don't know, but I suspect a trip to the dealer will be required to find out.

My ice alert is very quiet - try testing hearing?  - 2007(57) XS Auto, Rimini Red, Alpaca Leather.

Nothing wrong with the hearing - although when the wife isn't in the car I do have to check I've not gone deaf!

It's just a quick beep beep, on start up if its icey, and I think every 30 mins or so if it stays icey and the ice icon in the message centre.

So confusing it's the same 'beep beep' as my hearing aid low battery warning, must be costing the NHS a mint in batteries come winter

I don't think there is a repeater for the ice alert, it only goes off a second time if the temperature outside has gone above the threshold and then back diown again (I guess it's about 3.5 C).

Slight shame that the beep is the same as used for the low fuel but I suppose it's just a prompt to"look at your instruments and take in all available information!" Gone... 2013 XS TD4 Manual Firenze Red

I thought that the beep was removed at 10 or 11MY and then just continued with the snowflake?
