LED replacement for boot light is a massive improvement.

Just to confirm that the LED replacement for the boot light is a massive improvement over the standard bulb.
Really easy to fit.

1 x U36W6 (239) 36 -39mm Cool White Dome Light (6 Wide Angle Leds) () = £6.99 + postage
from Ultraleds.co.uk

Fast service too. Thumbs Up

Jules

Thanks to "mburton2" for this tip.

Has anybody tried these for the internal cabin lights, especially the rear passenger light?

yeah, I put the same bulb in the front-centre interior light in mine.....the LED is a little short, so the terminals need to be bent a little to make conact with the bulb...but once in, a much better light...

in my gallary I have the boot light replacement shown (Next to my additional powerpoint)...

Haven't tried the roof lights yet, but i have changed the glovebox and footwell lights for LED's... Out with the old (2007 SE)
In with the new (2012 Dynamic with everything). Now also gone.

Just ordered the LED boot light and LED indicators (back, front and side) Thumbs Up - I was also thinking about replacing the interior lights for LED variants, but was wondering if doing so, would the fad up / fad down of the internal lights still work?... any ideas?
Also thinking about replacing the puddle lights in the wing mirrors..

Yes, they will still fade down......

Did you get the ballast resistors with the indicators?...if not, there's a high chance they will flash at double speed (blown-bulb rate)...

Somewhere here, I wrote a quickie-guide on what wires to connect the ballasts too... (Front & rear) '57 FL2 GS

On mburton2's initiative, I too put in a LED lamp in the boot. Now, the only really irritating bug of the new Freelander has been fixed. Thanks mburton2! 2007 Freelander 2 HSE i6

Is it the same LED bulb required for the boot, centre roof console, glovebox and footwell lights??

Are the footwell lights as standard white (well yellowy white), and are they on all the time when the lights are on? Would green LED's be good?

Would look at my own FL2, if I was back in Dubai already and had accepted delivery already!!!!

Some development work I did was on lighting solutions so I have a load of LED bulbs that I hope I can make use of on the FL2...just as I did on my Audi Thumbs Up
