Just been to collect my car and sat in the HSE Lux

Salesman approaches, get chatting explain the £43k cost is not too far from a D4/RRS (£51k RRS HSE '62reg)

After sying the XS is near on HSE spec now, but i prob want HSE/HSE Lux He said it gets even closer to RRS money at £47/48k when you add the Dymanic Plus kit on the freelander, give you the magnetic suspension etc like the Evoque has

Unless I'm mistaken the Dynamic pack on Freelander does not give you MagneRide suspension as available on the Evoque. In fact MagneRide is still only available on the Evoque.

Dynamic Plus Pack

This pack includes the following:
Exterior mirrors - Electric adjustment, heated, power-folding, puddle lamps, memory function and auto-dipping in reverse
Sunroof - Electric, sliding front glass and fixed rear glass Panoramic roof
Headlamps - Xenon with automatic headlamp levelling with LED signature lighting
Memory Seats
825W Meridian™ audio

That's exactly what I thought, but he even went on about how it cost more and to show me the switch that was on the terrain response switch, more worrying is that he told me he had spent 11 years servicing them Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

If you look at Terrain Response on some versions of the RR Sport it has a Dynamic setting (located to the left of the normal programme). This sets the car up for a dynamic on road driving experience but does not include MagneRide. I've not seen a Freelander Dynamic yet but suspect that if it does have the additional button on the Terrain Response it will do the same as the Sport.
If LR had fitted MagneRide to Freelander I'm pretty sure they would have made something of it and there is no mention of it on their website or in the brochure. I suspect the salesman was trying to impress and you've caught him out!!

He wins 'Berk of the Week' then!!

As far as I know, JLR only fit the MagneRide to the Evoque...I was at Gaydon yesterday on business, and asked about it being fitted to FL2, and it was confirmed NO by 3 different employees in LR Marketing Foraging near Gaydon....
