Good evening all. Newbie Freelander owner here. Just a couple of quick questions please. All of the rubber trims on the wheel arches (six in all) on my car seem to have internally expanded and no longer grip the wheel arches. I looked at half a dozen freebies before i chose this one. and all had the same problem.The youngest car being one year old even had them falling off.Does anyone else agree that this is very poor design? So i'm looking o replace them all. Are there any after market supplyers selling the part that might just last more than one winter.I'd love to know if there is. Second question is under the drivers seat there is a DVD player.This has inside the CD for the sat nav. Is this all its for,or can i put regular DVD movies in it.to play whilst stationary. It is a very poor and cheap solution to finishing off the wheel arches if you compare what other manufacturers do to protect that area. However the good news is that if you contact Dan at Duckworths the site sponsor he'll sell you a full set at 20% discount and post them to you F.O.C.

When you get them spran the inside channel of them all with silicone spray and then fit them - and so folk even fix then in position with silicon sealant

Ours have been on for 3yrs now and still look as good as new, so I wonder what some folk are doing with these trims to get them into such a bad state after only one year

Yeah sorry about repeat questions That be quite annoying for established forum users. I scanned the forum up to ten pages for info on this problem.Until my eyes gave up!!

The search engine is trying to give you all the topics that contain your words. ANY of them.
If you'd entered, as the search help states, a "+" sign before each word, then the search would give you the topics that contain ALL the searched words.
Enter, for example, +rubber +arch +trim

In these mountains her Ladtship's FL2 gets very wet, and in the winter months the wheel arches are almost permanently covered in snow. Despite that, 3yrs on her wheel arch trims are in very good condition - but they are poorly designed and cheaply manufactured. They are however, a high maintenance product
