My '58 Freelander fitted with 20" Evoque rims

Just in case someone is interested, there was a discussion about whether Evoque rims would fit the FL2. As the general consensus was yes I sought some 20" from Overfinch.
I must admit I think they look great and an absolute bargain as they're fitted with the Michelin Latitude Sports.

Had the FL2 coming up to a year now and loving it.
Possibly related to the other discussions about engine oil additives, this is the first time I've got over 500 miles out of a tank too Smile

Should say my 16" set and 17" set are just about to be listed on eBay. Don't think I can stick a link on here unless I name the price. 2008 FL2 TD4 XS Zermatt Silver, Manual

I like the wheels but have reservations about the tyres, I wonder if it would look better with something with a higher profile?

You need a spoiler too Whistle

Must admit the profile is nothing like 16s and 17s I've previously had fitted but any greater profile and I'd be throwing the speedo out of whack.
I'm not really one for modifying my FL2, I've got my Lotus to fiddle with but it's at the paint shop and I wanted to play with my cars! 2008 FL2 TD4 XS Zermatt Silver, Manual

Wheels look good, similar styling to the original HSE wheels, I have also looked at those tyres recently but the load rating of 101 put me off.

They are actually rated 99V, which I did a bit of research on. Although seemingly lower than required (although within plenty of tolerance fully loaded, which I never do) it seems the further up the scale you go the lower the load rating seems to go.

I don't know enough about tyre manufacturing to be able to comment but I know 104/108 is recommended for 16/17/18 on the FL2.
On the Evoque the 17s are 106V and the 20s at 99V. 2008 FL2 TD4 XS Zermatt Silver, Manual

Good job!, they dont look at all out of place on the car!

How is it running with the Low profiles?? is it a bit harsher over manhole covers? It looks like there may be some space in there for something a little more chunky for me : )

Thanks for the feedback, I love them - certainly look the business!
It's a little harsher, but then I'm driving a little bit more carefully - it's also a touch quiet. Those Michelins are the most expensive tyre for the size and are pretty impressive. 2008 FL2 TD4 XS Zermatt Silver, Manual

Sorry for the resurection, but does anyone know what happened to the pics? Now I've finally got a Fl2, I'd love to see the evoque alloys fitted.

I have mine now ready to go on. Looking again at your pictures, the car 'appears' to be very 'lofty' and high with the 20's.

I think this is because you have the black door bottoms, which make it look like the body finished higher than it is. I think mine may look a little different as my door panels are body colour.

Yours still looks great! It was looking at this that made me buy some!

So you really rate the Michelins then? Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........
