It doesn't appear to be the normal jet black leather steering wheel.

This new wheel is smooth soft leather, much like an Evoque steering wheel for anyone who's driven one.

I drove a Freelander 2 Facelift yesterday with this nice new steering wheel and I cannot find one anywhere!

Its a new leather wheel that comes with either full or half leather 2011 onwards

I got one off a breakers 2012 new cars that fell off the back of a transporter. Cost £100 and got the dealers to fit for £35

Tried getting it from the dealer an it was over £400 !!! 

I wonder if the LHD version is more expensive?

No - the smooth new leather steering wheel was fitted as standard to her Ladyship's MY2010 limited edition "Newport" FL2 that LR Switzerland had built to boost flagging sales.
