England 2010 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Santorini Black

The deeper, gloopier bits, while navigable in a Freelander, eat the various external bearings on, well, just about everything. 2 D3s and a Puma 90 I've owned have all suffered bearing failures from the incredibly abrasive mud soup found in the holes on the plain in wet weather. My current D3 is in need of its 3rd A/c compressor pulley bearing in as many years, all due to jaunts on the plain.

Never driven a lane there a FL can't do, just be aware that the gloopy bits are NOT kind to your car. Oh, and your car will have swirl marks forever; I swear that mud is made of industrial diamond grit.

Bloody good larf though. Current driveway contents:
2021 V60 Cross Country B5
2009 FL2 dog bus and shooting wagon

On Order: 2023 Fisker Ocean Ultra - deposit paid.

I never wade deep in that mud up there for same reasons! Plenty of room to go round as you know Thumbs Up
I have marked all my maps so I can pick and choose depending on who's in the group Whistle * GONE. GS TD4 Manual MY2013. Orkney Grey with privacy, cold and clearview packs, armrests (a must!) and a spoiler.
