Ah well my beautiful baby has done 70000 miles now and is in for a major service costing the best part of 500 pounds. I had some noises from the rear like before so got them to check it out, when i bought the car in december 2011 I purchased a warrenty with startstones which seems to be designed to not pay out!!! They are using the wear and tear clause on anything they please and its totally not acceptable. The wheel bearings have gone again (had them replaced in feb) and they are saying its wear and tear and not premature failure, abosulte BULL , I'm so annoyed because now they want an extra £400 on top of the service! Disgraceful makes my blood boil and my pockets burn  When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car

have you tried the termination of yes they have worn prematurley as the original set that was replaced lasted longer than the replacements,and because they have worn prematurley then they should be coverd, is the warranty a stratstone one or a landrover warranty remember they have got to rove to you that it is ware and tare and i think that if the bearings have done less than 40k it may be classed as premature ware or were they fitted incorrectly  rainy-city

I have always been happy with Stratstone Nottingham. It must be one of the very few in the Stratstone group that are ok.

Sale of Goods Act 1979 which you don't need me to go into, can still apply to used vehicles (although there will clearly not be quite as big an expectation of quality/reliability).
