Been Playing around with my new best friend

Im sure all you all have been there, you get a new camera and you slap in the new memory card and just walk round snapping away and various things.

I did the wife, (got told to delete them), i did the toys on the floor, the garden, the chicken skewers cooking on the BBQ (thanks Taz for the recipe), found a snail, a plant and a couple stood in my water feature.

So I had a play with what i found and though I can not use Photoshop at all, this is what i ended up with

I quite like them Smile

It's the oil of ulay night and day creame that does it Laughing

I've done nothing to it apart from load onto the iPad, via a sd card reader, iPhoto to Flickr, taken 90 photos tonight around the house. Paying with settings and stuff, but I really liked that

Loads more photos taken, some look so good on the display only to find once uploaded their Censored , wrong focal point so another areas in focus not e one I wanted, or the whole shots Censored or blurred

Some look to have something of a moment captured, but full size it's not there Sad I try with photoshop to get something back but find it too hard to do when I need to alter sky's, foreground sharpening here and there etc

Starting to understand the ISO, shutter speed and aperture but I'm Censored at taking pictures, I've had better results using my iPhone

iPhone does it for you and then cheats some, don't be disheartened, learn to walk first and the fairground Laughing will be a better place.

Looking at getting a meet together for the triggers amongst us all, fun meet up somewhere, share some tips, picnic etc, thought about the lakes when autumn starts, fantastic scenery and colours, lots of places to meet and park up, short stroll and snap away, possibly end September early October.

Last week in Manchester, media city, this was 15 photographs stitched together Shocked

Nick,
Have a read in the manual about focus single point, dynamic area, auto area and 3D tracking and the AF-L button. Think this is what is happening.
The same happens when Mrs Pegleg uses my camera cos she uses Auto which does nothing right. Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.
