Back on the road again!

Last November I had a hip replacement operation which went a bit wrong resulting in five dislocations (I think I said ouch at the time!). I then had to have revision surgery in March to put it right. Each time you have an operation like this you are "banned" by the medical profession from driving for six weeks and have to do quite a few exercises to get the leg strong enough to drive again. I have therefore got used to being a passenger in the FL2 but more importantly I have been unable to ride my bike since last October! Big Cry

However, to-day I took the beast out for a spin and wow that feels better! I have booked it in for MOT to-morrow (it's OK, it doesn't run out for three weeks!) and looking at the old certificate I see to my horror that I have only done 400 miles on the bike since last year. Needless to say my "spin" was a bit of tentative as I re-learn the skills you need to stay alive on a bike.

Anyway, the beast is awake again and looking forward to summer (what is left of it).

Here she is, 2,300cc of British engineering:-

Certainly Chris...however, you would have to negotiate with the "talking luggage" as she gets very possessive about her end of the bike! Very Happy John

I'm not happy at all about this; the forum is joined by a Triumph riding motorcycling hoodlum.

Hoodlums don't ride Triumphs - they cruise Hogs

GENTLEMEN PILOT TRIUMPHS Cool

Bravo JST Bow down Johnny Bloor, that esteemed Derbyshire Gent, will be proud of your suffering just to get back astride his Rocket 111. Best wishes for a full physical recovery and many wonderful miles of future riding. Thumbs Up

Fantastic John, I borrowed one as a courtesy bike a few years back when I had a 955i 'tona , i went to Southport on it riding the torque up the motorway was amazing, it is just sheer class, I'm not anti-Harley, but I think the Triumph is a whole level above and you don't have to dress like an extra from " Sons of Anarchy" to ride it either Rolling with laughter

ps are those the " not for street use" accessory pipes ? Mr. Green 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership
