Scotland 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Santorini Black
SCRUBS UP WELL

I have a bit of a "thing" for clean cars. If I had the time and money, I'd probably be one of those Concours guys who scrubs their tyres with a toothbrush.

Anyhoo, I took delivery of my 2009 HSE a couple of weeks ago from locally based Dunecht 4X4, who I would highly recommend.

I got Chips Away to fix a few bad stone chips and a some scratches and then took advantage of some nice dry weather we have had recently to give it a good polish (Autoglym Super Resin) and wax (Turtle Hard Shell Original). I also used professional tyre wall shine.

Maybe it's just me, but I find cleaning a car very theraputic. Rolling Eyes

The interior came like new...so nothing to do there.

EY
Super Resin Polish is a polish and offers no protection, it has fillers in it which mask swirls and fine scratches, so you want to be locking those in with a wax or sealant whcih then offers the protection too Thumbs Up

Cheers Nick, I suppose I really ought to read the labels a bit more, I nearly bought some the other day thinking it was a 'finisher'.
There are so many products out there with fancy names, it makes for buying a real pain for the 'wash and wax' types like me.

Re: SCRUBS UP WELL

If you like cleaning so much could sort you out with a bucket of tea and a welsh cake or two to clean mine
( even the local vet walks past with the super sized mariglods on when he sees the mud on mine .!!! )

nice job (bet your not on a water meter though .!!! Wales
Were the mud is thicker, and the ruts are deeper.
(And we have the water to wash it off, and more on the way..! )

Looks very good! I agree with you that cleaning the car can be very theraputic but when you find scratches and dings that some Censored has put in the car it can be upsetting Big Cry 2010 HSE TD4 auto, Biscay Blue, Almond Leather, facelift front and rear, detachable towbar, front & rear mudflaps, bib spoilers, clear high level brake light, smooth rear wiper, colour coded door handles.

Werkstat Acrylic Jett, took me 30 minutes to go round the whole car, you spray it on, smear it about and buff off, a panel at a time, the shine and protection it leaves behind is absolutely staggering Thumbs Up

By the way garioch Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Life's to short to wash vehicles ! Took mine to the local Polish guys who spent 1.5 hours doing a mini valet and cost me £18. Had to throw away the air freshner they hung on the rear view mirror, made the FL2 smell like a Turkish brothel. 11 GS Bali Blue
