I have been looking at doing this mod since I got my lr2 and actually didn't get a nav stock because I wanted to do this. I finally found someone who fit a screen in but my only issue is sizing. I was looking at specific measurements on this screen and noticed something weird. It claims to be a 7" screen but measurements only make it 6". I thought no big deal because they measured diagonally. But I am wanting to use a regular touchscreen made by xenarc that allows me to connect a computer to it through vga. I was looking at the measurement on their 7" screen and it comes out to be 7", not 6". Will this screen I am wanting to use still work or do you think the size difference will be too much to try and fit it. Also, a regular tft lcd that has computer hookup will have screen adjustments to change the size , just like a regular computer monitor, but I am not sure that the screen will look right after these adjustments. Any suggestions on what I should use, or how to do this the best way? I am wanting to have as many options as possible on adding things and don't think that the system that funsmart used does enough for me.

Yea thanks for the useless reply. I was hoping for funsmart to say something since he seems to be the only one that knows what he is doing. I dont want to have to make something for this install but have a feeling I am going to have to take apart some stock modules to make them do what I need. If anyone has done anything like any of the things I said something about, please let me know so I can try and save my self some time. |

oh im not that mad or anything, I was just wanting a useful, productive response to a question. I can take a joke when there is the moment for it, but I was just asking a question since funsmart seemed to know what he was doing on an lr2 since he had wired his kenwood system.

Pioneer have a hard disk navi/entertainment system that replaces the factory fitted radio CD with the Pioneer system so it mounts lower down in the dash board and leaves the high up position as a general cubby hole for storing 'stuff' |
