Haunted windows!

Hi all,
Popped over from Disco3 for some help please.
My other half has a MY09 SE spec Freelander which has developed a bad habit since last week.
When she opens all doors and boot with the remote, occasionally all the windows open too.
Any sugestions as to a cure would be greatly received.
She hasnt changed remote or tried the other as its intermitent ( and 'cos that was my idea!!)
Cheers
Ian

Hi Comanche

Might sound like a daft question, but how long is she pressing the fob for, as after about 2-3 seconds all windows will open automatically

Sounds like she is either holding the button for too long or the button jamming

The FL2 has this feature for both opening and also closing all windows (except sunroofs) Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

If only it would, but unfortunately it seems the LR technicians forgot that we would like that option as many other vehicles (inc. BMW) do have Rolling Eyes 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.
Stornoway Grey with Ebony Black Pleather, Clear Indicators, Body Side Mouldings etc.

My N/S/F window used to go down but would not return on the plip. After numerous visits it was fixed with new motor in door. Just one of the 100's of fixes my piece of junk has had to go through

Hi Ian,

Think this is a feature, by keeping your finger on the unlock button for longer the windows open and also the sunroof, only found out by mistake but it is common on many vehicles...

Not looked yet to see if there is something jammed Question has anyone else had this issue, or should I just take it back to LR to fix Sad Embarassed

Try re-programming the window lift ECU as described in the owners manual Thumbs Up Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

My mistake then - my sister has a sunroof on her Ibiza and I assumed that if I had a sun roof that LR would be at least as good as a Seat - Live in hope...only paid 15k more for my car lol...
