My new Freelander 2 TD4 Fuji White

Hello to everyone.

Pictures are a little bit crappy, taken yesterday, very happy with the car, just wanted to share. I hope to drive it in a more demanding enviroment soon with pictures to follow. So far I'm really pleased with the car. Thumbs Up

Mine would also be waiting delivery hadn't this one come across offered by the dealer. I wanted xenon and panoramic roof as optional equipment. This one had leather, rear parking sensors and 6CD charger instead. It is 6 months old but had only 1.900km on the odometer, it still smells like new Very Happy and the price was unbeatable. In the end I got the lamp guards and the roof rails included for £23.000 Shocked. I don't know how are things up there, but down here it's a pretty good price, same spec for a new car is £32.000, though discounts are steep, around £4.000. Still I was saving like £5.000 and the car is virtually new, it was a no brainer.

I was also looking at the Evoque but the best I could get in a similarly spec car was £29.000. Anyway I like it more than the Evoque now Laughing

My only complaint so far has been a little, almost inaudible crack coming from the center console some times on bumpy roads and bends. I thinks it's due to the Parrot installed by the dealer (also included in the price), they forgot to put back a couple of screws on top of the console (you can see it if you remove the small rubber mat just above the warning lights). Talked to the dealer and he has promised to look for the missing screws and put them back Laughing

I love the handling of the car, I was a little bit worried, but I've found it much more stable than expected on bends and twisty roads. It's not a sports car, but it performs well and the torque is always there. Ride comfort on the other hand it's outstanding, very relaxed driving, it filters the bumps with ease.

Well I'm very happy with the acquisition, I guess it's pretty obvious Thumbs Up

England 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Stornoway Grey

Looks good in white, I don't think it will be entirely necessary to respray it to the Stornoway Grey this year!

One question (OK, it's two parter Whistle ) - I've noticed that many folk blank out their number plates when publishing photos - why and how do you do this?

Hi Ron,
I used too all the time, it can be used to identify people, frauds can clone numbers etc, I gave up in the end, nothing to hide so why bother.

Taz aka Paul or the git from Lancashire as CG would like to think Laughing

I wouldn't laugh, it's saved me a fortune in parking tickets and speeding fines, not to mention diesel and tyre wear from the weight saving Laughing
