HST, a joy to own...

We bought our Santorini Black HST privately at the beginning of October following a dreadful experience attempting to buy one from Stratstones.

08 plate, 69000 miles, full LR service history and 6 months remaining on the extended LR warranty which was issued when the car had a new auto gearbox at 62000 miles. This may have put some people off but all the work was done under warranty and the seller was open and honest about it.

We came from an Audi A4 Cabriolet so this was a completely different kettle of fish. However the wife loves the high driving position and the spec level was excellant.

We also have a Jaguar XF and I can honestly say that the Freelander is as satisfying to drive. It's not as quick, obviously, and the interior is not as plush but it does exactly what you expect and it's not missed a beat in the 2000 miles that we've covered.

The interior is practical for our two kids although the first clean and polish did take me a few hours.... Very Happy

I've been lurking around the forum for a bit and it's proved an invaluable source of info and detail on ownership, thanks folks! Thumbs Up

The wife chose the HST and the colour, despite the fact I'd sworn I'd never have another black car, but the combination does seem to work.

Nice motor! Very nice.

Agree - clear indicators and black side vents would go VERY well on this. Santorini Black 61 FL2 TD4 S Auto, Debadged, Retrofit steering wheel controls, Black side vents with smoked repeaters and chrome bulbs, Black side tubes, Mudflaps front & rear, Black & Silver LR badges front, back & sides
Gone - Zermatt Silver 57 FL2 TD4 S Man
Gone - Bonatti Grey 55 FL1 TD4 S Man

Welcome to the pointless plastic club ......

I agree with the clear indicators plus I would add Crome side bars....

Factory look is ok but I bought a HST because it looked a little different from the standard FL2 SD4 Sports LE Black ...

I thought an HST was an old train that didn't have indicators often seen in and around Nottingham Mr. Green

The HST look ok except for the chip basket grill, I always thought they could have come up with something a little more solid and in keeping with the quality of the rest of the car, looks like someone knocked it up out of a piece of leftover material they found at the back of the garage.
