Bluetooth disconnecting

Hi all,

Well, its a new year and a new problem!! For the 2nd or 3rd time since I have owned my 2007 FL2 the car has lost/not recognised that there has been a phone that has been paired. It comes up with no phone paired but my phone has the car still in the bluetooth section.

It is easy enough to re-pair the phone but I was wondering if this is a common issue, a normal issue and something that happens every few months or so or is it something that is a fault and not quite right?

Thanks in advance - oh and Happy new year to all

My previous phone, a Samsung model would disconnect frequently, Soy Ericcson and new iPhone have been faultless in this respect.
I would try another phone first.

Think you may have a problem, My car was parked outside my house for 5 weeks whilst I was in Australia at the end of last year, not only did it start first time but the phone hooked up to the car straight away as well.
Sorry I can't come up with a solution but it shouldn't happen. Gone, 2007 TD4 SE Auto Baltic blue, clear side repeaters, full sized alloy spare.

Thank you,

Having spoken to others as well its looking like it may, somehow, be a fault that occurs with iphone 3gs (the model I have). No-one has any idea why tho - which is less than helpful. Ah well but thank you for your answers.

Sorry still no answer, my iPhone 3Gs worked faultlessly with my last Freelander as does my 4 with this one.
How are you pairing, phone with car or vice versa., not sure if this makes a difference. Gone, 2007 TD4 SE Auto Baltic blue, clear side repeaters, full sized alloy spare.

Not sure if it'll help, but I had a problem with my HTC disconnecting all the time. Turns out it seemed to be related to a conflict between the bluetooth and wifi. If I turned the phone's wifi off in the car, there was no problem. Worth a try.
