HEADLAMPS - Bulbs, Upgrades, Changing - ALL HERE

My r/h headlamp bulb went (non-xenon) so thinking it would be a 5 minute job I popped the bonnet up and started disassembling things!! Exclamation Am I wrong in thinking this isn't as easy as it should be or is there a simple guide for idiots like me to follow ...please Bow down

In the glove box is a document holder inside which among other things is the owners manual. If you were to take this manual and open it at page 144(MY 2010) or thereabouts you will find instructions on how to change a halogen bulb. The manual describes the process far better than I can and also includes pictures.

If you do not have access to the hard copy manual you can access the on-line version through Topix.

http://topix.landrover.jlrext.com/topix/co...;id=145024 and look under Maintenance.

One side can be done, no problem, the other side is a bit tight, not a lot of room. I'd probably remove the headlight and replace the bulb if I had trouble. Just remember to mark the position of the top bolts holding it on, so you can put it back the same position.

Looked in the manual but neither my French Dutch or German were up to the test for this task Whistle

Add this to instructions.
Note where the washers on the 2 bolts mark the plastic and ensure lamps click into place when refitting. Securing bolts tightened with washers in exactly same place. Alignment then correct. All FL2's (3) Gone

Is it really a headlamp removal job to change the bulbs?

Just tried the method as per the manual - pull up the rod things, pull the cover off but on the near side there is not enough room to actually remove the cover enough to get access to change the bulbs.

On the off side the washer filler upper thing is in the way and can hardly move the headlight cover at all.

I thought my Honda Pan Euro was difficult to do!

Thanks.

It is only two 10mm bolts to remove on each headlight and pull the lever Confused
