United Kingdom 2014 Freelander 2 SD4 Dynamic Auto Santorini Black

I have seen the kit in an old hela catalogue I have at home, I will try and dig it out.

I would really like to do this to my car, can anyone confirm that to do it properly I will need:

A set of Xenon Lights
Coding of the car to tell it that it has xenon lights (can this be done now in preparation of fitting them at a later date?)
Auto leveling system (Land Rover original, expensive, or hella after market, difficult to find)
Lighting control panel with no leveling knob (just to finish off)

Assuming they are all aligned correctly would the car be all legal and sorted?

Jon

Have found a few possible options for the headlight levelling kits, just need to check it has all the required parts.

Does anyone know of any independent garages based in the north east that might be able to do the coding?

Everything arrived today, not had a chance to look at the auto leveling kit, but did fit the lights, they look great BUT they flicker for longer than I expected, decided not to chance it so need to urgently find a local dealer / independent that could code them does anyone have any recommendations.

Managed to get them coded in today at northeastern4x4 (http://www.northeastern4x4.co.uk/) In stockton, service was good nice and quick charged £54 for the hours labour, had the alignment checked and all ready to go once I fit the auto levelling kit.

Hey Jon,

Was it literally just bulbs that you bought? If not, where did you source the parts and could you post a definitive list of whats needed?

Thanks

I bought the full lighting units from forum users, there is someone on the forum who has a complete set of units including upgraded bulbs for the sidelights and full beam to match the xenons, if you want the details drop me a pm and I will send you them through, they are very reasonably priced.

Fitting of the units is as easier than changing a bulb on the standard clusters, two bolts at the top pull the toggle disconnect the electrics and slide out.

You will then need to get the cars configuration file changed so the voltage sent is regulated properly on start up otherwise they flicker when turning them on.

Next task for me is fitting the levelling kit, I bought it from german ebay around £230 and have yet to fit it but it looks simple enough, need to splice into the exsisting connections to the motors then mount the control unit and sensor and configure them, just a case of adding weight to the rear and setting the correct height.

Also just to add for people that havne't read the full thread, headlight washers are required, don't think they are included with all models as standard?
