Thanks for the replies. It does seem like a German LR Special Edition (which explains the comments left on youtube) rather than the Startech kit.

The brochure attached by Captain Worm lists "Modifizierte Frontschürze inkl. LED-Tagfahrlicht" (Modified front bumper incl LED DRL) as an extra on this packet. I ordered my FL in Germany last December (although I received it last August...) and at the time this Limited Edition was not available. Will enquire whether it is possible to install them after-market.

It looks like this German special edition has, according to Google translator,a Startech 'Front apron attachment element, R PUR-RIM, from MY 2011, including LED daytime running lights "Silver Line" / "Black Line" - cheap at around € 987 Laughing :

The Startech kit is very popular in Europe. It has been here for a few years. My local JLR dealership is now stocking the Startech kit but it is sooooo expensive. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. It seems quite strange that on one hand LR say they want to differentiate the Land Rover and Range Rover brands more than ever before, and yet, at first glance, the white FL2 with the kit is hard to distinguish from a Range Rover?

6froggy, thanks for the link. The front-bumper kit looks nice. I quite like the running LED lights. Not so sure about the rear-end though...

It seems LR are offering only the front-bumper kit on the special editions. I think the LED lights should be available on all models cause they give a different look and "feel" to the car. More up-market, so to speak. My FL: 2011 SD4 HSE, Ipanema Sand
