Symptom 597997 Driveline Noise Concerns
Content Issue: The customer reports a click noise while manoeuvring at low speeds – LR2 / Freelander 2 only. The issue is identified as a click noise from a drive shaft (half shaft).

Cause: Small amount of movement of the splines of the shaft within the hub.

Action: A bead of Loctite 648 should be applied 10mm below the circlip on the shaft. See attached diagram. Follow TOPIx section 205-04 or 205-05 for shaft removal and re-fit process. The Loctite must be sourced locally.
