United Kingdom 2012 Freelander 2 SD4 XS Auto Fuji White

Churchill just took my business this year - £157 fully comp with loads of add-ons like guaranteed hire car (LR of course) £200 excess, 10 years NCB protection and glass insurance.

I have been with Tesco for the last 4 years and they rewarded my loyalty with a £430 renewal premium - nearly THREE TIMES Churchill's quote! When they asked me why I was not going to renew, I told them they were far too expensive. They then said "would you like us to see if we can match Churchill's quote?" I told them that if that's the way they treat loyal customers (missus was with them too) I would take my business elsewhere on principle .... oh yus! Laughing Cheers,
Raz

When it comes to declaring factory/dealer fitted extras, how would you know on a used car? I bought mine second hand. It has a towbar which I don't use but which I have declared. I have no idea whether there are any other extras fitted. Nor would anyone else buying second hand unless they seriously need to get out more...

Self supporting, and we should make hastened repairs to 'Hadrians Wall' to repel the 'savages' and protect our women. Laughing

No you will need to pay extra for "Europe" cover whenever you come to England. And of course buying an English car will mean exporting to Scotland, reregistering etc. You may have to take a leaf from the Irish and resort to importing dodgy Defenders with recent paint jobs and no documents Whistle

Just renewed mine with Esure £426. LV wanted £400 but that was without disclosing any upgrades, so wasn't competitive to go any further with that one. More Than sent an invitation to join them with a big heading saying that they are the most competative on the market and 80% of More Than customers pay £180, where they get that from I haven't a clue as thy quoted £680 Shocked Shocked

Yep, I have less than 4 months before it comes around again.
LR's insurance was £280 but I picked up 6 points which took it to a reasonable £380 so hopefully they will make me happy again.
