I didn't so much straighten just reduced the warp enough so it could slide it in OK. Just a bit of opposite bend did the job.

Hmm, I guess it could be a bad filter, it's been fine for a few thousand Ks since last service though.

Really I'm just putting it down to another addition to the rich tapestry of FL2 faults...

Thanks Bob,

I straightened up the dip stick, and got a decent read on it, it's almost exactly in between the notches, maybe a little lower, so maybe ever so slightly low on oil.

Driving yesterday, Oil pressure light came on after a 45 min drive... Checked oil this morning, seems to be OK, but dip stick is warped, so can't be 100% sure.
