JLR don't make anything for Freelander owners. They are more interested in very expensive cars full of gadgets that aren't that versatile.

It's surprising how many are on our roads.
I wouldn't have bothered with an early one though, they seriously rust issues 😕

I would agree.
The four wheel drive diesels are very hard to find though. I've been looking for months.

Did something similar to a MK2 Renault Clio.
Wet and dry sanded the lens, off the car. Then just sprayed it with lacquer. Lasted years.

My mistake, didn't realise it was an automatic.
Same principle for testing the starter motor though.

You don't need to jack the car up to get to the starter motor, it's accessed from above.

The solenoid refurb kit is readily available for eBay. I think it is about £26 now.

Have you put anymore fuel in the tank?
If not, get a couple of cans and put some fuel in the car.
If you can see some fuel plus air in the fuel lines, chances are once there is more fuel in the tank ...
