Hi all, my rear exhaust heat shield has come off so I went to sort it with big washers but it appears I’ve lost one of the retaining nuts. I’ve had a scrape about and tried b and q and the local hardware shop but can’t get anything to fit. Has anyone got any idea of what would fit or even know the part number of the real part? I’ve found a pic online of the nut. Thanks

The parts list only shows 2 items for fixing the heat shield:



HN1 = LR000893 - NUT '"SPRING"' HEAT SHIELD
HM1 = LR000059 - HARDWARE - MISCELLANEOUS 3.5MM HEAT SHIELD

Is it one of these?

The part number for that part is LR000893. If you search for that on the internet you will find many suppliers. Not expensive, found some for around £0.60. Shipment will probably be higher than the price for the nut.

Sorry to revisit an old thread but firstly does the outside bit turn or is it the inner thing turn to loosen to get big washer in to hold heat shield also I don't seem to have a locking nut on it.... Confused.

Hi that just gets removed fit a large washer I made mine by using a hole saw on aluminium plate then push a star lock washer on the bolt star lock available from flea Bay
Various sizes job done

Outside bit turns - a few squirts of WD40 soaked in for a while helps. Instead of a washers I used 60mm long x 20mm wide x 2mm deep galvanised pieces of metal - the sort of thing used to join joists, worked a treat and not picked up (by the very picky) Swiss MOT inspectors
