Sharing a good news story:

So it was February in the world's coldest capital. And not paying attention to the dipping thermometer I went out to start up the LR2. Just one turn then nothing but a screeching noise.

LR recovery came and took her to the doctor, only to learn the cams were seized and there were metal bits in the oil.

Mind you it has been a month but LR Canada did come to the rescue with a new engine, new turbo, and fixed some ball joints while they had it all apart.
They also flushed the power steering fluid. All no charge.

Yes, I am covered on the extended warranty to 160,000 kms. But Thank you to Land Rover for the exceptional service. Guy Pensa

Sounds like you got an excellent result there that car should be pretty mush sorted now.

just a shame that LR UK probably wouldn't go to anywhere near the same lengths (just thinking snapping crankshafts in D3/D4/RRS 3.0l engines)
