Dashboard centre console removal- how to???

Hi folks
Just got a replacement hazard and lock switches parking sensor switch. Any tips on how to replace this switch unit?
I see there are 2 screws under the pencil holder tray thing.
Anyone know where the rest are to safely remove the plastic console.
Many thanks

From memory there are 6 screws in total. The 2 you have already found plus another 4 that are under the top speaker grille. The speaker grille is held in place by spring clips. You have to carefully lever the speaker grille out of position but it can be difficult to do as the spring clips are very strong and you run the risk of breaking some of the lugs off if you are too heavy handed with it. Once the grille is off you can see the 4 screws and once they have been taken out you can carefully tease the centre section out of the dash. It is also held in place by more springs clips which do have a habit of pinging off into the depths of the dashboard never to be seen again. Using some of those plastic trim removal tools can make the job a bit easier if you have them. Good luck!

A tricky job by the sounds of it.

The above is pretty much it. It's nowhere near as bad as it sounds. There's more tugging/yanking than I'd have liked but otherwise it all comes away and fits back together fine. Learned to drive in 2011.
Bought a Micra - great little car
"Upgraded" to Kia Sportage - hated it
Proper upgrade to FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - tailgate paint issues, fuel gauge rewire, transfer box failure at 36k miles, clutch at 60k
Reconditioned diff at 70k ish
Sold at 84k and now on a DS. Terribly unreliable.
Sold DS for a 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Fingers crossed....
Sold Outlander for a 2014 SD4 SE Tech because I’m mental
