Paintt : it was a dark colour and that is simply stupid here. tere are still many dark Range Rovers and RR Sport around but my Range and Discos have a white roof now.. much better.

My biggest mystery is still... WHY does the car start after bushing it back in reverse? rocking it has no effect whatsoever.

If I only knew more about this model, they are quite rare here. We get lots of Freelander 1, TD4s and the early diesels and the odd NAS v6 Technician in Guanacaste.
Always after documentation.. will help those who look for it. Free of course

There is a crash reset on Hawkeye for Freelander2 - don't know if that will do it all as never needed to try it - has anyone here done so?

I can't remember where I did this in SDD but I was able to find it fairly easily according to memory. I believe it was under service functions. If you get the software setup with the vehicle and run through the menus, you will find it.

As I need to replace the PTM/ECU, I'll investigate removing crash status at the same time.

I replaced the PTM using SDD, which was actually very simple to do.

Sorry posted the wrong information in the wrong thread.

I was able to remove the "crash" status with SDD. It was a simple process, which I carried out while replacing the PTM.
The engine started fine after the module replacement as it had been running. However it's still starting on 3 when cold. Big Cry and misfires with a regular beat when under load.

So I'm open to more reasons for a cylinder to drop down when cold or under load. Injectors maybe? 2009 Rimini Red SE TD4. My daily driver.

Usable flow restricted on one injector - either a bad nozzle or a partially open return.
On idle, the low flow situation can be compensated by the ECU using the cylinder balance algorithm, but when under load, when high flow is needed, the injector will reach "its "limit".
From what I remember you can play with the eight injectors at your disposal and use the good ones.
Only a simple codding procedure in SDD for that.

I removed the CRASH status on mine a couple of weeks ago, using SDD. It was a simple and quick operation. 2009 Rimini Red SE TD4. My daily driver.

It's running much better, although still has a random misfire above 2200 RPM, which I'm still investigating.

Can you explain to me how to eliminate crash erorr with sdd?
I tried run several times and the light bulb still does not go out.
For me, the error is due to a crash followed by the opening of the aibags. Maybe I need to do something else?
I have this error : B1193-68 Crash event storage-Full and locked
