United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 Dynamic Auto Santorini Black
Bye!

My Freelander is now sold!

I'm off to buy a small town car.

Just a big "Thank You!" for all the help & advice over the time that I've had my two Freelanders.

The 2013 SD4 was by far the most comfortable car I've ever had. It served me well but I hardly do any mileage nowadays - it had to go.

Bye!

United Kingdom 2014 Freelander 2 SD4 Metropolis LE Auto Fuji White

My wife remarked yesterday on a trip to Wales how comfortable our FL2 is. I agreed that we were lucky to have such a good vehicle to sight see from, and that it covered the ground easily.

Sorry to see such a long standing member of the forum go, good luck. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)
FL2 Metropolis SD4 Auto 2014 2017- (16k - 76k+ miles) (MY2015)

Paul,

Before I go.......

I remember the i6 with great fondness.
I bought it from the main dealer in Leicester. It had been the manager's car. Very well spec'd.
Great power.
I remember when I went to a LR half day (in Kent) that the guys there just wanted to see the massive engine under the bonnet. They didn't see that many i6's.
It drank petrol like beer which was one on the reasons that I moved over to diesel.
I have to be honest..... I just take my cars to the garage for work... don't do anything myself.
Apart from normal stuff like servicing, brakes & tyres I don't recall many problems at all.
I had the seat issue, as you saw, but that was fixed under warrantee.
The only thing I remember is that it had n oil/fluid leak at one point- seal on rear diff??? Does that sound right??
That was all.

Regards.

Yorky Bob

I'm not having a mid life crisis - more an end life crisis, at my age.

I'm getting a mini!!! Cooper S

A nippy little car for around town and the 5 mile drive to the golf course.

It will be soooooooooo different but looking forward to it.

Thanks for being interested.

Regards.

Rangerider,

I am glad to hear that you had a positive experience with your 3.2 I6

My experience has been positive enough that I bought a 3.2 for my Son (same engine for both vehicles)

2008 Land Rover LR2 3.2
2010 Volvo S80 3.2

Both Engines were built at the same Ford factory inn the UK.

A few picture to remind you what you are leaving behind

The Mini is a very nice car, enjoy it but don't forget your friends on the Freel2 board.

Take care

Paul
