AUX in port fixed

I was looking to swap my radio because the sound through the AUX port from my phone was rubbish.

When I found out the cost to fit an aftermarket radio and the fact that I could loose some functionality I went back to trying to sort the AUX port.

I managed to get a replacement from Ford for £5.99 which took about 15mins to fit and now works perfectly.

I just thought I should share this because I spent weeks searching the internet for an answer on how to increase the volume on the AUX port, but there was nothing.

Yup, cheap and easy (if fiddly for big hands) job. Learned to drive in 2011.
Bought a Micra - great little car
"Upgraded" to Kia Sportage - hated it
Proper upgrade to FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - tailgate paint issues, fuel gauge rewire, transfer box failure at 36k miles, clutch at 60k
Reconditioned diff at 70k ish
Sold at 84k and now on a DS. Terribly unreliable.
Sold DS for a 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Fingers crossed....
Sold Outlander for a 2014 SD4 SE Tech because I’m mental

Hi,

It was off ebay as "Genuine Ford Transit Fiesta AUX Headphone Jack Sleeve Cover Port 1365708"

You will need to split it, I used 2 large paper clips which were spot on. I did take some pics which i'll add when I get the time.

The replacement aux port arrived today and has been fitted and tested. It works, no more dodgy connection via the aux port. Thanks to Scotty-D for the part number. Thumbs Up
