United Kingdom 2014 Freelander 2 SD4 Metropolis LE Auto Fuji White

I always thought that my 'lag', when trying to suddenly accelerate, came from the gearbox making up it's mind and changing to the correct (lower) gear, to meet my sudden change of speed expectations.
If I take things a little more gentler, the engine uses it's plentiful torque, and uses a higher gear.

But, I have to admit that driving slowly can give some unexpected gear changes, and bursts of power, as you over compensate for the slow response to my right foot. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)

My stop /start commutes to work has also given me a lot of clutch grief , which I have posted about quite a lot. It has put me off the car, and I am thinking of going Kia next... 7 year warranty!

Imagine if Land Rover/Range Rover put 7yrs warranty on there products Rolling with laughter

What, like they do in some other countries around the world?

The below is on offer to customers in the UAE.

I contacted LRCRC and asked if they were going to offer a 5 year warranty to their UK customers. Their reply was that UK customers were quite happy with a 3 year warranty ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿคจ๐Ÿ˜ก Gone - MY11, TD4 XS, Bali Blue

I would love to see how LR (and many other companies, including the media and government) carry out their market research.
Im pretty sure that if LR had 5 or 7 year warranties then a whole lot more people would buy them, however its a very cynical marketing ploy IMO.

3 years PCP finance deal, then swap it in for another new LR/RR Whistle
3 years warranty on a car that has some very very expensive dealer only components (in most laymans eyes on LR can fix it) Whistle
so by offering 3 years finance and 3 years warranty then the sales are kept propped up as nobody wants a LR/RR without a warranty. Whistle
