Grey Fergie tractor won't start

Know this is a bit of a curve ball but went to use tractor this morning after it's been standing for a few months. Drained petrol last time used and have refilled with fresh new petrol as well as fully charging battery before trying to start.

Started fine last time used but today despite what I try apart from red ignition light there is no sign of life.

Very much a novice at this kind of thing so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Battery nearly flat,gear-lever contacts dirty worth jiggling the gear-lever to see if that helps.

Are we talking about an old standard petrol engine.
If so, remove and clean/dry plug, check for spark.
Buy a can of easy start, spay in carburettor. Try starting without, then with choke.

If its a modern, all singing, all dancing, engine with electronics, buy/employ a diagnostic test. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)

Thanks guys, will have another play tomorrow but battery charger is saying the battery is fully charged and what I don't get is if its the fuel not getting through or spark plug problems surely it would still turn over, but there's not even a clicking from the starter.

Largered - yes mines a tvo runs on both petrol and paraffin, you have to start it on petrol then switch across. Life's too short, enjoy yourself

The starting solenoid that kicks in when you move the gear lever will have corroded contacts. They can be stripped and cleaned or buy a new one. It’s under the battery area attached to the upper gearbox bell-housing. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years
