Interior Lights problem

Hi Guys

2008 HSE. 3-position main interior light. Left position all off as normal. Central position all on as normal. Right hand position lights are all on and don't switch off when door closes - which is annoying and not normal.

Please can someone let me know what checks to make? Thanks.

Are you using LED lights. I found that when I installed LED interior lights the top 2 main lights would not fully turn off, always a dim glow. Could not sort it so put back the normal bulbs. GS Sd4 2012

Usually, the switch set centrally selects courtesy lighting. They don't go off, if I recall correctly, until the engine is started following entry or the doors are locked following egress.

Left off, right on seems as though it is doing what it should. For once I agree with Yorkie Bob.

As I understand it, left position is always off, right position is always on and centre is automatic. Seems ok.
