Replace factory sat nav with xtrons sat nav

Hi, is it possible to replace the factory sat nav with the latest Android xtrons unit?
I have seen some threads about this but it is not clear to me if the Alpine premium
Unit can be replaced. I would want to keep the music part of the system.
My car is a 2011 sd4 HSE auto.
Thanks, Tim

Looking at the Xtrons and it's form factor, you'd be looking at replacing the whole head unit. It's a costly job that requires loads of extras if you want to keep steering controls, reversing sensors, and that's not including the sub, which needs a new amp I believe.

Better off just getting a phone mount for the car and a decent Android phone. Learned to drive in 2011.
Bought a Micra - great little car
"Upgraded" to Kia Sportage - hated it
Proper upgrade to FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - tailgate paint issues, fuel gauge rewire, transfer box failure at 36k miles, clutch at 60k
Reconditioned diff at 70k ish
Sold at 84k and now on a DS. Terribly unreliable.
Sold DS for a 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Fingers crossed....
Sold Outlander for a 2014 SD4 SE Tech because I’m mental

Thanks to you both. I might just get a stand alone sat nav, as suggested and try to fix it in front of the original sat nav screen.

I suppose it may be possible to replace only the screen with a 7" Android tablet. Others have fitted the tablets successfully but they don't integrate into the head unit well and who knows how your head unit would react if it lost connection to the screen it expects to be present. Learned to drive in 2011.

In another thread I added details of a company in Bishops Stortford who advertise this swap - details in this thread.
