Well no one seems to have been buying Cam Belt Kits.

Found Island 4x4 are selling them on a web special (Dayco kit ) for less than £90 (inc VAT) so placed and order. May need to get hold of a crankshaft bolt. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Have you found anyone selling OE quality waterpumps Bob ? Or are you fitting a genuine one .

Gates kits available including water pump for £87 inc delivery on eBay part number KP25633XS for the 2.2 TD4 engine. Both Gates and Dayco are good makes.

What make is the Water pump?

Pump is hard stamped with the DAYCO trademark and in plastic bag with further DAYCO labels. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

How many miles has the car covered Bob ? As I see it's a 2013 plate.

Anyone used an SKF kit VKMC 03305 - Water Pump & Timing Belt Set comes complete with crankshaft bolt.

It will be around 70K when done, was doing more miles per month but still expect to get to no more than 75K when done. Ancillary belt will go on as well of course.

Once done I see it as forget it ever being done again in my ownership even if it is with us over another 7 years which is highly unlikely for several reasons. Haldex may need to come out again at some point for a service to ensure we avoid any catastrophic failure.

The death of these will be when the electrics start costing more to put right than is wise to invest. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

I changed mine around 150000kms with the Gates kit and only had an issue with the crankshaft bolt removal and refit of the new one due to the massive torque required for my small frame.
