Ok then, I decided to take a little gamble and ordered one of the 'mist' jets from a Ford dealer - part number 1830769. I can confirm that it is a straight swap with the LR jet apart from the heater plug (will have to sort this later) and it gives a far superior spread of water onto the screen - a very worthwhile upgrade Thumbs Up Cheers,
Raz

Thanks for this, do you think its as simple as just cutting the connector off and wiring up the old connector to it? Only 2 wires? Does it even matter if you spliced one wire into a different one?

It is just a case of cutting the Ford connector off and soldering & heatshrinking the LR back on. It is just 2 black wires and polarity is not an issue as they are not earthed.
One thing I have noticed is that the spread of water is very wide and I angled the jets inwards (there is a small amount of slack to allow this ) to prevent soaking pedestrians walking on the pavement. Laughing Cheers,

SE wouldn't have heated jets, would it?

Struggling to find this dam part on the internet. Is there a prefix like LRXXX?

Its not a Land Rover part, 1830769 is listed as a heated washer jet for a Ford Transit Connect 2013 to 2015. You might have to order it from your local Ford dealers. Ford list it as part number 1-830-769 but part numbers are continually being updated so that part number might well superceed onto a newer number.

RazMan, well done for taking the leap Thumbs Up Seems so much better than the jets when I had the DS for the day. If it wasn't so bad it'd be funny.

Maybe a daft question.....
I don’t think I have heated windscreen washer jets, I assume there would be wiring running along side the washer hose next to the RH bonnet hinge? Brgds

Scotland 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 GS Auto Santorini Black

Evening guys, bought two Ford 1 906 529 heated washer jets and fitted today, soldered the Lr electrical connectors onto new washers. All works well - except the spray goes up over the roof with only a little water hitting the windscreen, does anyone know if these can be adjusted? I tried poking around with a small pin but didn't force anything for fear of breaking them.
Any help would be appreciated,

Cheers.
