"Bleeping" when unlocking

Hi,

MY14 Freelander locks and unlocked perfectly. On double lock it has always sounded one "Bleep"

My Freelander has now started "bleeping" when I unlock her. Sometimes its Bleep, Bleep, other times it performs this twice.
The noise is also a different type of bleep compared to when I double lock. No error messages on the display.

Sorry about all the bleeping. Any Idea why its started doing this ?

Neil.

The usual cause of bleeping on the modern car when unlocking is low battery levels in the remote fobs. The freelander mk1 had this feature also. I would check and possibly replace the battery to see if it no longer bleeps as a battery only cost a few pounds. Thumbs Up

I'm pretty sure it's telling you that one of your "doors, bonnet, tailgate" is ajar or failing to unlock! MY15

Hi,

All doors are locking and unlocking perfectly. The car is performing without fault.
Just cant work out why is bleeping when I unlock it as it never done this before.
It now does it all the time, bleep, bleep and then again bleep, bleep when I unlock her ?

Hi, I am suffering the same as you. Please see my thread.

http://www.freel2.com/forum/topic24395.html

Land Rover read the codes and I have a internal sensor error, this causes the car to beep twice when unlocking drivers door then beeps twice again when you unlock the other doors. You can fix it yourself by disconnecting the battery for a while but it will come back eventually.

I got this code, probably not spelt right as the land rover tech has awful handwriting.
Alarm fault B102B-S7 BCM - 14854 Passive key B112C-96 interior motion sensor

one way to test the internal sensor is to fully arm the car and sit still inside and wait till it fully arms and then move, if your motion sensor doesn't pick you up and sound the alarm, then disconnect it and reconnect it and try again Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I had a very similar incident recently, took to dealer who updated software and all was good again (under warranty)
It did reset the basic set-up options.
Hope this helps
