United Kingdom 2014 Freelander 2 SD4 Metropolis LE Auto Fuji White

I agree with Jimbo (I had grown up by the 70's [well I thought I had])

The 50's and '60's were the time of the revolution. Although, as I seem to remember it well, I could not have been fully committed to all the fun available.

I'm afraid that I did tend to obey the rules, e.g. No Jiving during the Quick Step. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)
FL2 Metropolis SD4 Auto 2014 2017- (16k - 76k+ miles) (MY2015)

And the Wagon Wheel biscuits were definitely bigger, a 2 hand job if I recall.

1950's at 6 years old I used to walk to school on my own and then at 8 went to a school that required me to take a bus into town and cross town to get to school all on my own. You would get reported to social services nowadays and get taken into care. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
5 x FL2 4 manual + 1 auto

Absolutely brilliant.
Should be compulsory listening for the GCEs - or whatever they call them now.

My kids who were born 1982 & 1985 think this is "fake news" Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her

Yes, and when the lights went out at the end of the night (09.30 weekdays - 10.00 on Saturdays) in the dance halls so you could have a quick snog and a grope if you were lucky!

I do remember that sex discrimination wasn't all one way.

18 year old at work, someone dropped a spade and yelled "look out below" I heard "below" so looked up - spade hit me in the face on the bridge of my nose, result was loss of smell and a 2-3" black (ingrained dirt) quite deep scar.

Industrial tribunal £300 for the loss of smell, nothing for the scar as "your not a lass so how you look doesn't really matter", if I had been a lass it would have been around £3k for the scar.

Could have been a lot worse if I hadn't looked up - hard hats Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her

Book phone calls a week or so ahead to phone overseas. Kept the call to a few minutes as it was so expensive.

I actually put my own phone in my parents house as my sister was continually on the phone!

No doggy bags to pick up dog waste!
Recycled milk bottles, soft drink bottle etc, properly!
Dried clothes on clotheslines instead of in drier.
Fish & chips in newspaper.
Pastic has replaced glass on beachs.
No calculators, we can still add up!
Paper shopping bags.
Mechanical watches only.
Rotisserie ovens.
Lead in petrol.
Lead in wall paint.
Brooms instead of leaf blowers.
Raw sewer pumped into oceans.
Car head lights that actually lit the road.
No air conditioning.
No battery drills or keyless chucks.
Vacuums could actually suck & for 20 years with 300 watt motors.
White goods with ON & OFF function!
No remote controls.
Manual hubs on the very few 4WDs. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Apart from Arthur Scargill those things were luxuries compared with ration books.

Edited for typo
