NSW car registration pink slip

I just got my first pink slip for my Freelander, due in about a month. The mechanic said there would not be any problems. After a quick run around the block. I asked aren't you going to test the brakes! He said so that the test is not biased against older cars it is based on the oldest registered car in NSW which is a 1916 car with standard registration (non vintage).

The oldest registered car has leather shoed drum brakes! Shocked

I also asked are you going to check the exhaust..... No, unless it's blowing smoke nothing to worry about! Shocked

The Freelander just managed to get a pink slip! Laughing
