United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Rimini Red
Numerous DTCs, HELP NEEDED

Hi all, new to the forum, owned a Freelander 2 for around 12 month.
2007, 2.2 TD4 HSE.

I have the following DTCs;

B102E-09 - Air Quality Sensor
B1D39-14 - Rear Wiper Motor Connection Circuit
P0380-00 - Glow Plug/Heater circuit A
P02E1-00 - Diesel Intake Air Flow Control- Performance
U0208-08 - Lost Communication With Seat Control Module A
U0252-00 - Lost Communication With Rear Light Control Module B
U0186-00 - Lost Communication With Audio Amplifier
U0484-00 - Invalid Data Received From Rear Light Control Module B

Any help in determining the faults would be great!

Also my rear wiper doesn't work but the washer and heated rear screen does (I have checked the wires and I receive a voltage on the yellow wire, nothing on the other 2).

Thanks in advance.

Leigh

As you have known faults you need to get them sorted, clear the old fault codes and take it from there. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

As they are all rear end associated I would be looking at the rear earths initially plus connecting blocks but I am the first to admit my auto electrician skills are weak. You could disconnect the rear wiper and add a direct feed to see if it works, it may well be seized or burnt out. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

If you look at brochure page 21 of the above wiring diagrams, bottom left hand corner, you will see the common run of the earth for rear lights/ tailgate and rear wiper.
Edit -- the earth for heated rear window element is separate and half way up right hand side of page 21

Further along the run is the Active On Demand Coupling, which appears to be working, so there could be a clue to where the break is. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)

Fault codes beginning with U can be ignored

In the gap tool manual it says that a code beginning with U is a cascading fault due to a communication error, rather than hard problem. In my experience if the faults beginning with other letters are fixed the U code does not reappear.

I have often wondered how the fault codes were prioritised, and in which order they should be dealt with.

Is there some reference information you can point me to so that I know which codes are important and which fall into the log and delete catagory.

PS Further to my earlier post the earth for heated rear window element is separate and half way up right hand side of page 21. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)

U = Universal so goes across many vehicles and code readers (not FL2 specific) but not sure why you would ignore a U Code ? Can someone explain ? FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

My last Freelander had a heap of U codes and one of them ended up being a relay (thingy Rolling Eyes ) in passenger door , so they must mean something surely? If it wasn't so bad it'd be funny.

Yes the U codes mean something but Gap say deal with the other codes first.

On looking again at the diagram, I would start by looking for the Black-Grey wire (earth) as it goes through the flexible trunking at the top of the rear tailgate door. Beyond that everything it serves seems to be working. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)
